Blair Lent was born January 22, 1930 in Boston Massachusetts. He graduated from the Museum of Fine Arts School of Art in 1953 and later studied art in Switzerland and Italy. In the 1950s, he worked as an assistant art director and creative designer and in the 1960s began illustrating and writing children's books.
